Barefoot Sandals: What Are They?

Ever heard of barefoot sandals? These footwear are way more ornamental than being functional, and they are becoming more popular for many reasons. As the name says, these sandals don't have a sole. It's quite important that your feet are in attractive shape before you consider getting this kind of shoe. They are essentially more of an adornment for your feet than they are shoes. While you could ask why any body would purchase a pair of sandals without a sole, there are lots of reasons to think about this kind of enjoyable footwear.

You can wear this type of sandals during a casual beach wedding so you can feel the sand under your feet and still look beautiful. There are sparkling crystal sandals that are so gorgeous for an occasion such as this you'll feel like a princess. These sandals are also great for boating, when you want to accessorize but don't feel like wearing flip flops. And, they make great adornments for professional belly dancers and exotic dancers who may choose to dance in bare feet. They're great for cruises, lounging by the pool and even wearing around the house.

There are of course some limits as to when and where this trendy type of footwear can be worn. You should never attempt to wear these on pavement, to the office or on the street for obvious reasons. However, if you love them so much you really want to wear them in places like this they can be worn under pumps for a glamorous modification on the classic high heel. You could even try them with clear Lucite or clear jelly style shoes for a glittery look.

Barefoot sandals come in many different designs and colors. Some of them are crocheted and feature beautiful coordinating beads that match the fabric they are made from. Others are beaded and made from elastic string, while others are made in a fancy Grecian style. And, when you buy a pair of beaded sandals it is likely you are supporting a small business. There are many online retailers who make these sandals by hand and offer custom made pairs for sale. You might also want to check online auction sites like Ebay, where many hand crafters offer their wares for sale.
